Simon “Sam” Scott, 90, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be private. The family will greet friends on Monday, May 6, 2013, from 6:00 to 7:00 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Scott was born in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late China Tifton Scott and Robert L. Scott. He retired from LJL truck Center, where he was in parts sales. Mr. Scott loved the outdoors, especially working in his yard. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 69 years: Opal Scott of Macon; daughter: Margaret (Zack) Williams of Jacksonville, FL and son: Michael (Sheila) Scott of Dahlonega, GA; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;
