Stella Janis Gibson Johnson, 83, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 after a brief illness. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00AM graveside on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Fuller officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM until service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson was the widow of Richard Emory Johnson. She was born in Albany, Georgia to the late Viola Estelle Chancey Gibson and Thomas Brady Gibson. Mrs. Johnson worked at Riverside Golf and Country Club as the bookkeeper. She loved music, fishing, wildlife, cats, being outdoors and spending time with her family. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her brother and sister: Thomas Jefferson Gibson and Ernestine Gibson Hinton.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter: Lynn (David) Stillwell of Jackson, GA; sons: Michael (Bonnie) Johnson and Neal (Lisette) Johnson both of Macon, Jeff (Sharon) Johnson of Thomasville, and Daniel Kent (Pam) Johnson of Largo, FL, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; beloved niece and nephew: Anna Viola Hinton (James) Connell and John Marwood Hinton of Dry Branch; numerous nieces and nephews.
