Sue Joachim Garlington

Sue Joachim Garlington, 68, passed away on April 10, 2013 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. John Haney officiating. The family will receive friends from on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral Home. To those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.

Mrs. Garlington was born in Monroe, LA to the late Mayvene Percy Hardwick and William Barfield Joachim. She was a retired from the State of Louisiana, where she worked as a social worker. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University and earned her Master’s Degree at University of Southern Mississippi.

Mrs. Garlington is survived by her husband: Marshall Garlington of Macon; daughter: Susan (Chris) Atwater of Macon; son: Billy Garlington of Monroe, LA; four grandchildren: Layton and Allyson Garlington and Raleigh and Keaton Atwater.
