Sylvia Molock Hackney, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 1, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Joe Bowker and Pastor Rodney Delhaye officiating.
Sylvia was born in Cherokee County, Alabama to the late Pearl and Irene Smith Molock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Hackney and her sister, Alley Ruth Molock. Sylvia was retired as an RN from Coliseum Hospital and was a member of Gilead Baptist Church. She taught her children Christian values by praying and reading the Bible with them. Sylvia was a member of the Senior Adult Choir at Mabel White Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her two sons, John (Lisa) of Palm City, FL and Glenn Hackney of Raleigh, NC and a grandson, Stephen Hackney.
