Velma Sue Markham, 68, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 30, 2026. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Don Feezor officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Sue was born on September 10, 1957, in Macon, Georgia to the late Johnny and Betty Jean Johnson Borders. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Candace Gober, siblings, Johnny Borders, Randall Borders and Faye Cralley. Sue retired from The Olive Garden after twenty-five years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville and attended Sunday School and was active in the Eastern Star. Sue enjoyed traveling and Diamond Dotting. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
