Verlin Lewis Tomlin

Verlin Lewis Tomlin, age 95, of Macon, Ga., passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Dale Gonzalez officiating.

Verlin Lewis Tomlin was born in Roberta, Ga, to the late John Thomas and Eula Estella Shurley Lewis and she was the 8th of 9 children. She was the last one remaining. She moved to Macon after graduating from high school, where she went to work for Southern Bell. Then she married William Allen Tomlin and they both went to work for Robins Air Force Base, from where they both retired.

Her favorite foods were fried chicken, Peter Pan peanut butter, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, butter pecan ice cream and lots of coffee! She always loved to exercise and walked at least 3 miles a day, until about 3 years ago. One of her favorite things was dancing! She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and had many friends who shared her faith. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Allen Tomlin and son, Dennis Allen Tomlin.

She was survived by her daughter, Crystal, son in law, Mike, granddaughter, Heather, grandson in law, Matt and great grandson, Cullen and many nieces and nephews. She absolutely adored all of them!
