Walter Lee Hornbaker, 78, of Warner Robins, GA died Wednesday, July 9, 2025, following a brief illness. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church with Father Theodore Ehmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park with military honors. The family suggest that those who wish may make donations to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 859 First Street Macon, GA 31201.
Mr. Hornbaker was born in Elizabeth, NJ, the son of Walter Francis and Katherine Browne
Hornbaker. He retired as a Senior Master Sgt. From the United States Air Force and was
A Veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Hornbaker was a member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox
Church.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Rigney Hornbaker; Sons, James D. Hornbaker (Janet) and Larry L. Hornbaker; Step-son, Foster McMullen; Sisters, Kathy Kornas and Jeanette O’ Connell; Grandchildren, Mackenzie Falkner (Austin), Ethan Hornbaker, Madilynn Hornbaker, Melody McMullen, Leslie Bostick, Misheal McMullen, and 4 Great Grandchildren.
