Walter “Walt” Arcelius Vinson, Jr., 31, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Steward Chapel AME. The family will greet friends from Noon to service time at the church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Steward Chapel AME for the save the bell project, Repairs to Steward Chapel AME, 887 Forsyth St, Macon GA 31201.
Walt was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Walter Arcelius Vinson, Sr. and Phyllis McCord Vinson. He was a member of Steward Chapel AME and he enjoyed watching movies and was an avid dog catcher. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Vinson, sister, Monica Vinson, grandmother, Jane McCord, and three nephews, Jourdayn Vinson, Jaiden Vinson and Kameryn Harris.
