Macon, GA – William Jay Brown, 84, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, August 24, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park.
Mr. Brown was born in Fitzgerald, GA to the late Carl J. Brown and Lois McElmurray Brown. He was retired as a petroleum specialist, having worked at Robins Air Force Base for 41 years. He was also a Marine veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Hudson Brown of Jones County, a son, Jay (Marcia) N. Brown of Jones County, a grandson, A.J. (Jamie) Brown of Jones County, great grandchildren, Mason Grimsley and McKenzie Brown, a sister, Sara (Frank) Brown Harrison of Jacksonville, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
