William "Steve" Boney

William Stephen “Steve” Boney, 58, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Fennell officiating. The family will meet friends on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Big House, 2321 Vineville Ave., Macon GA 31204.

Steve was born in Albany, Georgia to Margaret Pilcher Boney and the late John William Boney. He was a graduate of Central High School and was retired from Brown and Williamson after thirty years of service. Steve was a member of Healy Point County Club and was an avid “Georgia Bulldog Fan”. He served as an official with the Georgia High School Football Association, and the USGA Rules Committee. Steve loved life, the people around him and served as a true and lasting friend. He was a devoted and loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Boney of Macon, son, Jason (Torri) Boney of Macon, mother, Margaret P. Boney of Macon, two grandchildren, Evan and Heath Boney of Macon, brother, Mickey Boney of Macon, special friends, Toni and Leo Deas of Macon, David and Tammie Greene of Macon, “The St. Simons Gang”, several cousins and Dylan, his constant canine companion.
