Don was born on June 22, 1944 to Jimmie and Monetto Wilikinson of McComb Mississippi.
Don is survived by his wife Barbara Wilkinson. His Daughters Jennifer Fincher (John) Granddaughters Jessica Russell (Bryan), Logan Register, and Grandson Benjamin Register, Step grandsons Mac and Cameron Fincher. Daughter, Susan Dietz (Rob), Emily Zangrandi ( Fernando) Great Granddaughter Sophia Zangrandi and Great-grandson James Zangrandi , Granddaughter Casey Dietz , and Grandson Justin Dietz
Stepson Lon Gilbert (Hillary) Granddaughter Samantha Killcrease (Josh) Great grandchildren Harrison, Emmett, Evan, and Skylar Rose and Step Grandson Will Sheppard and Stepdaughter Laurie Stephens (Matt)
After graduating from McComb Highschool in 1962, he went on to obtain a BS degree in Recreation at the University Southern Mississippi.
After graduation, Don worked for the Boy’s Club of America in several cities. Don had 42 years of Sobriety. During that time, he worked for several recovery facilities, and he earned his Georgia GACA and National NCAC addiction counseling certifications. He worked in the field of recovery for 39 years.
Don was a loving husband and dedicated father, grandfather, and great grandfather.He was a man of quiet strength who offered grace instead of judgement; that everyone deserves a second chance. He embodied acceptance and pure love. His kindness created a ripple effect that will be felt for generations.
