Willie was born in Ailey, Georgia to the late Janie and Willie Ford Sr. He served in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran and later retired as a farmer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his grand-daughter, Lynn Ivey (Charles); great-grandchildren, Mechelle Jones, Nakia Ivey, Shuan Oliver (Garrette); and a host of nieces and nephews.
