Wynette Hughes Leigh, 77, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mausoleum of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Leigh was born in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Richard and Julia Hightower Hughes and was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Leigh, Sr. and sister, Shirley Courtney. She was an accountant with The Bibb Company and a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Leigh dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed being a part of their sports and activities.
Survivors include her children, Karen Newberry (Barry) and Bobby Eugene Leigh, Jr. (Donna); grandchildren, Daniel Newberry (Nichole), Tyler Newberry and Brandon Leigh; and great grandson, Nikolas Newberry.
