Allen E Betz

He was born in Jersey City, NJ, and He and his wife Norma relocated frequently for his work, living in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Indiana before finally settling back in New Jersey. Allen served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of Enterprise #31 F&AM Masonic Lodge, and was also a Shriner. He was part of the Men’s Club at Atlantic Hills and enjoyed his retirement by being a part of the community. Allen really loved his time in Maryland, He loved boating, fishing, and traveling with his wife Norma. Their favorite travel being the tour of the National Parks. Allen enjoyed cards with his friends, and especially spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son Brian Betz, his parents Adolf and Johnette Betz, his brother William Betz, his best friend Earl Hunsicker, and his faithful companion Buddy. His now companion dog Skipper misses him very much.

Allen is survived by his wife Norma, nieces Dawn Goffredo and her husband Vincent, Denise Manna and her husband Jim, nephews, Jonathan Betz and his wife Yukina, and Steven Betz and his wife Lea. As well as several grand nieces and nephews

A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 18th, 2026 from 1-3pm at Thos L Shinn Funeral Home in Manahawkin.
