

Born in Linden, New Jersey, Richard moved to Irvington as a newlywed with his wife Lois, where they remained until 1973 when they moved to Millington. They relocated to Marlboro in 1980 before settling in Manahawkin, New Jersey in 1995.
As a teenager, Richard was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights Drum Corps, and won the National Championship in 1957. Richard was a proud Army veteran, a brewer at Pabst for over 25 years, and a loving husband and father who enjoyed woodworking and DIY projects.
Richard is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Lois, his parents James and Erna Paul, and brothers William, John, and Robert.
He is survived by his sons Richard, Robert and partner Michelle, Brian and wife Sandra, and granddaughter Leah.
A Memorial Service will be held at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050, US, on Thursday May 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Committal Service will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
