Rosemarie Scarlotta

Rosemarie Scarlotta, 92, of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away on April 11, 2026. Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Rose graduated from Port Richmond High School. She married her husband, Rocco in 1956 and settled in Willowbrook, Staten Island.

She moved to Manahawkin, NJ, after retirement from The Institute for Basic Research on Staten Island. Rose had many dear friends, including her neighbors, Barbara and Armand Castelli, who were like family. She enjoyed traveling, visiting family, playing poker with her friends, and trips to Atlantic City.

Rosemarie was predeceased by her loving husband Rocco Scarlotta, parents Matteo and Maryann Palmieri, brother Christopher J. Palmieri Sr., and nephew Ronald Paresi.

She is survived by her nieces Mary Ellen Probanski of Staten Island, NY, and Frances Murray of Staten Island, NY, and nephews Christopher Palmieri of Harveys Lake, PA, and Glenn Palmieri of Joliet, IL, in addition to many more nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a great great niece.

Cremation will be private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
