Born on November 28, 1924, in Woburn, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Onesine Bouffard and Marie-Anne (Fortier) Bouffard. Armand grew up working on the family farm and in local logging camps, where he developed a strong work ethic that remained with him throughout his life.
In 1954, he married Madeleine Garand. In 1959, Armand and Madeleine moved their young family to Maine, settling in Winslow, where they raised their three children. Over the years, Armand held various jobs, including truck driver and maintenance worker. He later started his own small business repairing hydraulic jacks, which he proudly operated until his early eighties.
In 2016, Armand moved to New Hampshire to be closer to his children. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and bingo, fishing, and camping. He also loved to travel and visited several Canadian provinces as well as Florida, California, and Colorado.
Armand is survived by his loving daughters, Ginette Bouffard and Carol Bouffard; his sisters, Jeanne D’Arc Bouffard, Lorraine Bouffard, Bernadette Gessner, Denise Bouffard, and Claire (Bouffard) Wegener and her husband Gerry Wegener; as well as several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Armand was predeceased by his beloved wife, Madeleine Bouffard; his son, Peter Bouffard; his sister, Marcelle Lachapelle; and his brothers, Henri-Paul, Lucien, Rolland, Maurice, George-Andre, and Louis-Gerard Bouffard.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hillsborough County Nursing Home for their care and compassion shown to Armand and his family.
