Arthur W. Labrie

Arthur “Artee” passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on August 25, 1941, in Manchester, New Hampshire, the son of the late Gerard Labrie and Orvilla Olsen.

Art was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Pauline (Maloney) Labrie, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, family, and happiness.

By trade, Artee was a skilled carpenter and builder. Over the course of his career, he built many homes throughout Merrimack and southern New Hampshire, taking great pride in his workmanship and the families who would make those houses their homes.

Art is survived by his five children: Paul Labrie of New Windsor, NY; Rick and Liz Labrie of Ontario, NY; Gary and Elizabeth Labrie of Weare, NH; Sally and Jim Smith of Merrimack, NH; and Cindy and Dave Pauly of Merrimack, NH. He is survived by many grandchildren; Loghen Fraser, Alex Pillsbury, Amanda and Brian Sowden. Courtney Labrie, Adam Labrie, Emily and Brandyn Fitzgerald., Sarah and Chris Galaida, Tyler and Alexandra Smith, Jimmy Fortin, Philip Labrie, Timothy Smith and Alexia DeVinney , and Kaeley Smith. Art “Pepere” could often be found cheering on his grand children, sometimes a little too loudly at their many sporting events.

He is also survived by great-grandchildren; Connor, Jackson, McKenzi, Ben, Harrison, and Hunter, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 031044920, US, on May 20, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 031044920, US, on May 21, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at New St. Joseph Cemetery, 65-97 Old Bedford Rd, Bedford, NH 03110, US, on May 21, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
