Barbara Douglas

Barbara was a graduate of Skerrys Business College in Liverpool, England. She immigrated to the United States in the 1950's, settling in Manchester, NH. She was a longtime employee at the Manchester Building Department. She leaves behind Frank Purdy her loving partner of over fifty years, "sent from God to take care of her and always did".

Barbara had three children, a son Troy Fortin (predeceased), Marie Fortin of Glastonbury CT, and John Fortin and wife Erin Landsberg Fortin of Los Angeles CA.

She leaves her three grandchildren, Cadie, Ellainah, and Liam.

She also leaves behind extended family members and friends, Kevin Purdy and wife Pam, Tim Purdy, Jenn, Sean and a special "young man named Dylan who she loved and cared for as a baby and always will".

There are no services scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the NH Food Bank or the City of St. Jude.
