David Hainey

David was born in Washington, DC, and lived in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he shared many years with the love of his life, his wife, Susanne. Susanne passed away on May 4, 2021, and David carried her memory and love with him always.

David was the son of the late Gertrude Hainey and David K. Hainey Sr.

He leaves behind his sister, Laura Hainey; his brother, Douglas Hainey and his wife Jacalyn; stepdaughter, Crystal Dwire and her husband William; granddaughter, McKenna-Rose Irene Benjamin; as well as niece Amanda Hainey and nephew Justin Hainey who will miss him dearly.

Anyone who knew Dave knows what a force he was. His stature, his loyalty, his voice—and, of course, his opinions, lol—were larger than life. Dave had a presence that was impossible to overlook, and he left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was loved, he was respected, and he will be deeply missed. Though our hearts are heavy, we will hold onto the memories, the stories, the laughter, and all the moments that made Dave who he was.

Rest in peace, Dave. We love you.
