Marcelle C. Finn

Born on January 13, 1936, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Marcy’s early residences included Lawrence, Dorchester, Reading and Wilmington, Massachusetts, and New Braunfels, TX, before relocating to New Hampshire in the late 1970s. She remained in Salem, Plaistow and Danville until retiring to Tucson, Arizona.

Returning to New England in 2009, Marcy resided with her daughter Robin and her children in Salem, NH, Methuen, MA, Charlotte NC, and Cambridge, MA.

Marcy spent the last two years in Brentwood, NH at Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living where she was a wonderful and caring member of the family residing there.

Marcy’s career was spent at Winchester Hospital as the Admitting Director. Upon her retirement, she cared for her mother, Blanche at her home and enjoyed her nights as a bartender at Squire Roper’s in Hampstead, NH. She and her late husband, Harry, enjoyed their retirement in Tucson and found a home at Chad’s where they developed many friends and had many laughs.

Marcy’s many interests included painting with watercolors, floral arranging, entertaining, cooking with her granddaughter Sarah, traveling and playing any competitive game with those willing to lose.

Marcy will be missed by all of her friends and family; whether it was traveling on road trips, vacations, holiday gatherings and visits at Barka. Her favorite dogs, Stella and Bean will surely miss her treats. Kathy and Sarah will miss just hanging out and enjoying a hot cup of lobster bisque.

Marcy is predeceased by her husband, Harry E. Finn, her daughter, Donna Lee Freeman, her father and mother, William and Blanche Gauthier, her brothers, Raymond and William Gauthier, and her first husband, William T. Freeman, Jr. along with her favorite dog, Pumpkin.

She is survived by her daughters; Carol Fraser and her partner David Kenney of Manchester, NH, Elaine Lawrence and her husband Gerard of Solana Beach, CA, Leslie Freeman of Gate City, VA and Robin Hale, of Londonderry, NH. Her grandchildren; Michael Lynch and his wife Olivia, Thomas Lynch, Dr. Gordon Fraser and his wife Rachel, David Fraser and his wife Ashley, Jessica Anderson and her husband Marshall, Johanna Lawrence, Lindsey Moulaison, Daniella Semones and her husband Sean, Dr. William Hale and his wife Efmorfia, Dr. Sarah Lemenager and her husband Joseph; Her 11 great grandchildren. Her sisters in law; Mary Goggin of Newport Beach, CA, Joyce Prescott of Rochester, NH, and Evelyn Gauthier of Plymouth, MA, and her sister wife, as she called her, Marianna Freeman of Wellton, AZ. Her step children; Peg Bridges and her husband Larry of Tewksbury, MA, Kathy Nigrelli and her husband Michael of Londonderry, NH, Roberta Taggart and her husband Bob of Wakefield, MA, David Finn and his wife Taunya of West Newbury, MA. her step grandchildren: Dr. Tommy Tashjian and her husband Ryan Svoboda, Keith Tashjian, Ethan Laramie, Megan and Liam Taggart. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104 on Sunday, November 8, 2026 from the hours of 12:00 - 2:00 pm.
