Margaret A. Campbell

Margaret A. Campbell, 84, of Bedford, died December 12, 2018 at Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on October 10, 1934 the daughter of Joseph and Delia (King) Flaherty. She grew up in Quincy, was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Quincy High School.

On November 15, 1958, Margaret was married to the love of her life, Frederick Campbell, and together they shared 60 years of life, laughter and love. She was the consummate homemaker who placed her family above everything else. She was a member of the Londonderry Women’s Club and enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Florida and getting together with family and friends but also relished the quiet times spent with a good book. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Members of her family include her husband Frederick Campbell of Bedford, her sons Michael Campbell of Parsonsfield Maine and Kenneth Campbell and his wife Roberta of Gorham, Maine, her daughters Susan Campbell and her husband David of Bedford, NH and Lynne Tensel and her husband Michael of Belmont, NH, eight grandchildren, her sister Kathleen Hester as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday December 15 from 9 to 10 am at St. Elizabeth Seton Church 190 Meetinghouse Rd. Bedford, NH followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Private burial was in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Margaret’s name be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society 177 Wilson St. Manchester, NH 03103. The McHugh Funeral Home in Manchester, NH was entrusted by the family with her care.
