Marjorie Lois Blanchard

Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her brothers, Gary Swanson, Brian Swanson, Tommy Swanson, Donald Swanson, and Jimmy Swanson; and her sister, Linda Hall.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 66 years, Frank Blanchard; her brother, Gerald Swanson and his wife, Jean; her sisters, Diane Pineault, Judy Chan, and Janet Swanson; her daughters, Marjorie (Tina) Smith and her husband, Edward, and Elizabeth Begin and her husband, Ted; her son, Frank Blanchard and his wife, Patty; her seven cherished grandchildren; her six adored great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Marjorie dedicated many years of her life to a career in retail, where she genuinely enjoyed helping others and took great pride in her work. Outside of her profession, she found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time fishing, bowling, tending to her garden, and baking her famous "Rolly Pollies" for family and friends. She was also a talented crafter who could often be found working on a new project or happily lending a helping hand with whatever creative endeavor a loved one had in mind.

Above all, Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a generous heart, a willingness to help anyone in need, and a love for bringing people together. Her kindness, warmth, and the memories she created with those she loved will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McHugh Funeral Home in Manchester, New Hampshire. A burial will immediately follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, www.alz.org/donate in Marjorie's honor.

Marjorie's family finds comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched.
