
Mary A. Bunnell, 89, of Manchester, died on January 20, 2015 at the Maple Leaf Healthcare Center after a short illness. She was born in Manchester on March 31, 1925 the daughter of William and Margaret (Powell) Milne and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was educated in the local school system.
Throughout the years she was employed at various jobs including the Arms Textile Mills, Genest Bakery, Pandora Industries and as a cook at Sandy’s Variety but her true love was caring for her family. Mary enjoyed playing cards, cooking and hosting clambakes for her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years Douglas I. Bunnell in December 1993, by her daughter Diane Glidden and by her brother William Milne.
Members of her family include her three sons Douglas Bunnell and his wife Suzanne of Auburn, John Bunnell and his wife Shauna of Florida and Steven Bunnell, her daughter Lynda Demers and her husband Norman of Lawrence, MA, her brother Kenneth Milne of Manchester and her sister Theresa O’Neil and her husband Bernard also of Manchester, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Mary's family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and support provided by all the staff at the Maple Leaf Healthcare Center.
