

Virginia G. Clark, lovingly known as “Gigi,” passed away on March 31 at St. Theresa Nursing Home. Born on July 29, 1927, in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Elizabeth Clark and grew up on the West Side.
Virginia was an active parishioner of St. Patrick Parish and a dedicated member of the Women’s Guild and parish activities. She graduated from Manchester West High School and Fisher Junior College, beginning her working career as a medical secretary for a local practice, where she worked for 10 years and became a trusted health advisor to her family. She later changed careers and joined Aetna Insurance on Stark Street in Manchester, from which she retired.
She was a longtime member of the Business and Professional Women’s Organization, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 60 years, participating in many charitable, social, and fundraising events that benefited the Manchester community.
Virginia loved reading, traveling, and dining out. She and her best friend, Doris Paquette, traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, with special fondness for Alaska and Idaho. They also enjoyed many memorable global cruises over the years.
She was predeceased by her sister, Frances Merkle and her husband George of Idaho; her brother, Jesse Clark and his wife Dottie; and her sister, Connie Doiron and her husband Roland of Manchester.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Hayes and her husband Patrick of Newport, Rhode Island, along with many nephews and nieces throughout the country. She also leaves behind her childhood friend, Doris Paquette, who resides at St. Theresa Nursing Home.
Virginia will be remembered as a woman who truly enjoyed life, was always good-natured, and made the most of every moment. Her family extends heartfelt thanks to all of her caregivers during these past years. Gigi will be deeply missed.
Virginia's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 10:00 am in Blessed Sacrament Parish, 14 Elm St, Manchester, NH. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Old Bedford Rd, Bedford, NH.
