Anne Steere Beattie

Born in Salem, Anne was the daughter of Frederick S. and Elizabeth G. (Hawley) Beattie. She was raised in Marblehead and graduated from Marblehead High School with the class of 1969. She also attended Marian Court College in Swampscott.

Anne was a favorite and longtime waitress, for about 50 years, at the Wardhurst Restaurant in South Peabody. Anne loved to cook and travel to the Kennebunkport area of Maine. Most of all she loved to dote on her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Nicholson and her husband, Donald of Severna Park, Maryland and her brother Dexter “Duke” Beattie and, his wife Maura of Lynn and their families; Anne’s nieces, Debbie and Kathy (Nicholson) and her nephews, Dexter and Douglas Beattie.

Anne’s funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Eustis & Cornell of Marblehead.
