Douglas Hulsman

Doug was a police officer for the Marblehead Police Department where he retired his service in 1978. An honorable veteran, he severed in the Navy for the duration of the Korean War. Douglas was a dedicated District Deputy Grand Master Mason Member. He devoted 52 years of service to many Philanthropic Lodges throughout New England.

He is survived by his children, John Hulsman of Marblehead, Bill Hulsman of California, and Linda Hartford of Bradford; four grandchildren, Jason Root, and Robert, Amy, and Kelly Hulsman; four great-grandchildren, Cade, Samantha, Jacob, and Reese Muriel. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Saturday, March 15 at 11AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visitation will begin at 9AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Douglas’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
