Eleanor C. (Babb) Cash, 91, of Salem, formerly of Marblehead, passed away at Grosvenor Park Health Center on February 22, 2016. She was the wife of the late Retired Marblehead Fire Lieutenant Robert E. Cash with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Saugus, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Banks) Babb. Raised and educated in Danvers, Eleanor attended Danvers High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Cash of Salem; her sister, Barbara Clay of Beverly; her sister-in-law, Mary Donovan of Lynn; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late, Cecil Patterson, Elsie Teague, Charles Peterson, Percy Peterson, and Shirley Babb. She also leaves her beloved cat Becky.
A funeral service followed by burial in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead was private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Friends of Marblehead’s Abandoned Animals, P.O. Box 1211, Marblehead, MA 01945. Arrangements by Eustis and Cornell of Marblehead.
