MARBLEHEAD – Francis J. "Fish" Walker, 93, of Salem, formerly a longtime resident of Marblehead, passed away on Saturday, May 9th at his home. He was the beloved husband of Marguerite "Marge" (Angelo) Walker with whom he shared over 58 years of marriage.
Born in Salem, the son of the late Joseph L. and Mary Bertha (Clark) Walker, Fish attended Salem schools. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Guam during World II. He worked for the Town of Marblehead Board of Health for over 36 years until his retirement in 1991. Fish was an avid sports fan, especially of the Bruins, enjoyed annual trips with his wife, Marge to Las Vegas. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his entire family, especially his grandchildren.
Francis was the loving father of Maureen Perreault and her husband, David of Palm Bay, FL, Kathleen Belostock and her husband, Lance, Joseph Walker and his wife, Bridget, all of Marblehead, Kevin Walker and his wife, Susan of Lynn, and Paul Walker of Dorchester; the cherished grandfather of Joseph and Kyle Perreault, Jamie Belostock and her fiancé, Zachary Holt, Sydney Belostock, Joseph Walker, Amanda Walker and her fiancé, Andrew Nguyen, and Meaghan, Rebecca, Cameron, and Michael Walker and the late Christopher and Jessica Walker; the adoring great grandfather of Noah Nguyen; the dear brother of the late Joseph and Paul Walker; and the cousin of Grayce Arthur of Marblehead.
Mr. Walker's Funeral services are private due to current gathering restrictions. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the Care Dimensions staff including nurse's Katie, Caitlin and Wanda, and home health aide, Dale for the compassionate care they provided during Fish's illness.
