George Bradford Tyler, of Marblehead, passed away at 59 years of age on February 7, 2017, surrounded by his family and many friends after a valiant battle with cancer. He was the beloved son of the late Robert Tyler and the late Jane Tyler.
He is survived by his son, Lucien (Luke) Tyler and Luke’s friend Rachel Marcorelle of Salem, and George’s special partner, Lisa Martin, of Marblehead. George was the dear son of his stepmother, Charlene Tyler of Marblehead, and loved brother of Robert (Toby) Tyler and his wife, Cilla, of Deerfield, NH, John Tyler of Fairbanks, Alaska, Corliss (Lisa) Seipt and her husband, Richard, of Wolfeboro, NH, and Donald Tyler and his wife, Ruth, of Palm Bay, FL and stepbrother, Sean Sullivan, of Marblehead, and stepsister, Caitlin Sullivan, of Corvallis, OR. He also left Kelly Jackman, her husband Chase, their children, Rylee and Tinsley Jackman, Patrick Martin and his wife, Melissa, many nephews, one niece, and devoted friends.
George attended Marblehead High School and worked as a framer and carpenter and
truly was an all around jack of all trades. He always had a hearty greeting for everyone
he met and a smile that was contagious. He especially loved camping in New
Hampshire, dogs, nature, fishing and most of all, playing pool with his friends and
anything that related to being a pirate.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 5-8PM at the Gerry 5, 210 Beacon Street in Marblehead. Donations in George’s memory may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty Street, Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements by Eustis and Cornell of Marblehead.
