

20th. She was 97 years young--an avid reader and lover of the arts,
she was strong, intelligent, and sharp witted with a touch of sass
right to the very end.
Born in Winchester, Mass. on April 7, 1916, she was the daughter of
the late Dr. Nelson Clifton Davis and Marie Louise Davis, an artist.
She attended Northfield Mount Herman School and Katherine Gibbs
School, and was a certified dental assistant. She was employed as a
bookkeeper at Gauthier Motors in Salem for many years. After her
retirement, she worked part time at Hunt Memorial Hospital in
Danvers, where she also did volunteer work.
Mrs. Cameron is survived by her daughter, Joan Cameron Dyer of
Marblehead, five granddaughters, Susan Mercer, Liz Parker, Hanna
Dyer, Cary Dyer, and Joan Payne; two grandsons, William W. Dyer III,
and Daniel A. Dyer; 12 great grandchildren and two great, great
grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Cameron will be private. Arrangements by the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, Marblehead.
