J. Gregory Harrison

J. Gregory Harrison, age 98, of Salem, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on June, 8, 2024. Greg was the cherished husband of the late Betty Harrison, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Born in Hell’s Kitchen, New York, Greg was predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Angela Harrison of Brooklands Farm, Wappingers Falls, New York and by his brothers Paul, Stephen and Basil.

Greg was the devoted father of William Gregory Harrison of St. Petersburg, FL, Mary Angela Harrison of Marblehead, MA, Lisa Catherine Zopatti of Rockport, MA, and was beloved by his sons-in-law, Stuart Sleeman and Peter Zopatti. “Grank” was treasured by his grandchildren Max, Sofia, Adelaide, Isabel and Paul. He was also well loved by his grandchildren’s partners: Emily Precourt, Arietta Chevian, and Gary Rahilly.

Greg leaves behind special relationships with his New York family, especially the Steirs; the entire Loefflad clan and Joan Johnson of New Jersey; and his adopted Medfield family members, Patrice Hansotte, and Mike and Vicki Gabriel and their family.

Greg valued the many friendships he maintained later in life both with the Margherita Party crew in Marblehead, the many friends who welcomed him in Rockport, and with his church family at the St. Anne Parish in Salem, MA.

Greg will be missed.
