

Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Edith A. (Hutton) Gebow. She graduated from Waltham High School, Class of 1939, and lived in Marblehead for most of her life. During World War II, Mrs. Hahn was one of many women across the country who worked in manufacturing settings to support the war effort. During that time, she assembled timing fuses for weapons at the Waltham Watch Company that had been converted to wartime production. She was also employed by Eaton Drug Company.
Mrs. Hahn was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Marblehead, and the Marblehead Women’s Club. She was an avid gardener, animal lover and music fan who enjoyed concerts at Symphony Hall in Boston for many years.
In addition to her son, Mrs. Hahn is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, David and Patricia Gebow of Maine, and several nieces and nephews including Cynthia Chasse of Magnolia, Scott Gebow of Rowley and David Gebow, Jr. of California. She was also the sister of the late Nancy Cook.
