Joan passed away peacefully at her Marblehead home on Saturday July 11th, 2015 in her 91st year.
She is survived by her daughter Katherine B. MacPherson, son Robert W. and his wife Deborah N. MacPherson, son Ben W. and his wife Debra L. MacPherson. Proud grandmother of her 5 grandchildren Christine Russell, Sarah MacPherson Ohlson, Garrett MacPherson, Ian MacPherson and Brittni MacPherson and her 4 great grandchildren Nichole Freidah, Robert Russell, Madelyn Ohlson and Jaxson Ohlson.
Joan was born on June 24, 1924 in New York. She was a life-long member and avid golfer at the Tedesco Country Club, Marblehead, MA, and Lago Mar Country Club in Florida, as well as a long standing member of the Eastern Yacht Club.
A private burial service will be held. A Memorial Service will follow at a later date. If desired, donations in memory of Joan W. MacPherson can be made to the VNA Hospice of Marblehead or the WGAM – Women’s Junior Golf in Norton, MA.
