Dr. Paige and Althea,
I'm saddened at John's passing. He was a fixture in town, both on the Neck and in old town. He was soft spoken, funny and pragmatic. While John certainly had his share of health struggles, he was always happy to spend time with old friends and reminisce about his childhood on the Neck and sailing. He was quite proud of being your son and brother. May he rest in peace and may you both find comfort in knowing he was a friend to many.

I am shocked at John's passing. We grew up together. Skied together. He was atboth my parents memorial s. My heart breaks for Emil. No parent should Outlast their child. John, thank you for the memories.

We are deeply saddened by John's passing and our hearts go out to his sister, Althea, and his father, Emil. We first met John during our purchase of the Paige family home out on the Neck, which was surely an emotional experience for all. We always appreciated our one-on-one time with John, hearing the stories on the history of our property, which is so unique and special. John loved that home dearly, and was proud to share details, both before and after the sale was complete. He helped us fall in love with the property more and more with every conversation. He would stop by from time to time to check in on our re-model and was always enthusiastic, boisterous, and complementary. We also saw him in Historic Marblehead walking around town occasionally, and we always had lots to catch up on. Our deepest condolences to the Paige family and to John's friends. We truly enjoyed our limited time with him and will hold those moments close to our hearts. Rest in peace, John.

Sincerely
Mark and Rhonda Hebeisen

John was my neighbor on Front Street and we shared many great times together on my deck and on Rover. He was one of the wittiest men I’ve known and a great guy. He lived life on his own terms and always greeted me with a big bear hug. John, I’ll miss you.
