MARBLEHEAD - John-Pietro Valentini, 41, of Topsfield MA passed away at the end of July following an illness. John was born in Virginia Beach, VA in 1979 and lived on Marco Island, FL and in Melrose, MA before moving to Marblehead where he lived most of his life. John played varsity baseball and football at Marblehead High School and graduated in 1997 before continuing on to play football at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He later attended The Peterson School where he studied HVAC and started Environair, a business specializing in commercial & residential HVAC.
John loved his family, and loved Marblehead, New England sports teams especially, The Patriots,
and he adored a number of canine companions. Known for a never-ending smile that crinkled his eyes
and a hearty belly laugh that was easily provoked, John was a friend and mentor to many. Those who knew John will never forget his sense of humor, his up beat attitude and a soft heart which belied his physical presence.
John is survived by his sister, Ashley Valentini of Big Sky, Montana . His father and stepmother
Pietro and Cheryl Valentini and his half siblings Alexander & Liliana Valentini of Jupiter, FL, his
grandmother, Audrey Tirrell of Marblehead, MA and a number of aunts & uncles including Loretta
& Zaven Bogosian, Cynthia Tirrell-Norton & Edward Norton of Marblehead, MA and Mary Beth Tirrell &
Bobby Shah of Essex, MA and his Italian family including Augusto Valentini, Pia Valentini and Claudio and Alfonsina Valentini, cousins Adam Bogosian of Northport, ME, Aliza Bogosian of Dover,
NH, Luke Norton of Manchester, NH, Liam Norton of Marblehead, MA and Phaedra Tirrell of Essex, MA and Matteo Valentini of Italy as well as his former wife, Heidi Palmieri.
John was pre-deceased by his mother Tracy Tirrell, his step father, Scott Snow, his grandfather, John A.
Tirrell and his beloved “Uncle” Chris Raimo.
John is also survived by many friends who made a difference in his life and who share in the loss of this gentle giant.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date when it will be appropriate to gather
respectfully & honor his eternal spirit.
