Marie Dallas

Marie Dallas, 93, of Marblehead, passed away at Salem Hospital on December 29, 2010. She was the wife of the late Frank H. Dallas. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Agusta (Holland) Bulthuis.

Marie worked for Met Life Company for many years. She loved the ballet: her idea of heaven was going to the American Ballet Theatre in New York City; she thought it was the best city in the world. She lived in New York all of her life until she moved to Marblehead in 1990. Marie also loved to travel and would watch planes take off with her friend, Dawn. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family above all else.

She is survived by two daughters, Marie Dallas Angelos and her husband Gus of Marblehead, and Kathryn Stratton and her husband Thomas of Mill Valley, CA; one brother, John Bulthuis and his wife Dorothy of NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Marblehead, followed by burial with her husband in New York.
