Mark M. Russo was actually born in Good OL Marblehead - He was considered a Marbleheader! Born at the Old Mary Alley on July 3, 1959. Sandra his Mom would always tell him the Fireworks were all for him and he believed it to this very day. He was a FIRECRACKER! I (Karen (Chandler)) met Mark at all places, THE RIP TIDE in Marblehead in 1982... I being at the time 7 years older, I was impressed but reserved. If you knew Mark, he was very insistent! He use to call it CAVE MAN dating and as we had the boys he would always remind them that's the way to get the girl you want! I guess it worked - on October 4, 2023 it would have been 38 years.
Mark Russo was the Hardest working guy ever known. He was employed at GE in Lynn for 38 years - actually got early retirement at 55. I worked for the airlines and we got to Travel a lot by ourselves and with the kids. His destinations were always Golf. He loved going to New Hampshire with his GE buddies.
They had a team and then they got Froggy and went to Florida! Then we started flying all over for GOLF! Ending in his Paradise in Wickenburg Ranch. He came out with his Golf Buds and while here bought our lot; the rest - History! I couldn't wait to come and chick it out - I had my druthers. He did good!!! Joined Gold Team and played every single day and if he thought he didn't get it right would go back out! Loved his Friends on and off the Golf Course-the locals embraced him, open arms.! Even the Rodeo riders - ad of course his favorite girl, Stacey! He loved her; she could ride. Shoot do it all.
Mark was predeceased by his mom, Sandra Russo; his father, Richard Russo, his grandmother, Great Kates Janes and Auntie Evelyn Buckley; Dominic Russo and Mary Russo, his grandparents who lived in Lynn and his uncle, Donald Russo from Lynn and uncle Sonny Landry from Lynn. His whole family worked at GE in Lynn. Cousins Dominic Landry and his wife, Christine Landry from Lynn, Cousin Michael Landry from New Mexico, Chris Lezenski and wife, Wendy from Peabody, cousin David Lezenski from Lowell, Aunts Claire Landry from Lynn and Ann Marie Lezenski from Danvers. Lisa Chick, his sister, resides in West Peabody.
I want to take this time to tell you about Mark as half of you have way more stories than I even know about!
Mark's proudest accomplishment of his life are his 3 Boys, Jarrett Russo of Marblehead, MA, Colton and Jacky Russo, Cranston, Rhode Island, and the best thing that could have happened, Remington Russo is now with me in Wickenburg, AZ (God must have known I was going to need him).
Mark was always involved with the kids' sports, Baseball and Football, where he coached and was at all their games cheering them on. He true friends were his backbone-he honored them. Always the Open Invite for all to come to see his Paradise Wickenburg Ranch in Wickenburg Arizona - and of course to play golf! The day of his accident he actually told his Best Friend " I had the BEST day of my LIFE! I have to keep playing that in my head.
YOU ALL KNOW MARK! If he couldn't do what he wanted - Golf - QUAD- Play with his new dog VALOR nor his kids -It was not in his wishes. So when you see a Hawk just know many showed up - showing certain people - Mike was waiting to bring him HOME; They are all together!
