Tillie was a neighbor of ours. We lived on Ocean Ave. and she was literally behind us. I first met her when she was a patient for a local dentist that I worked for. It took time but once we realized we were neighbors we became friends. We would have a few good laughs over the years. She hired my brother Mike to cut her grass and trim the edges. She found out Mike has his "special way" of doing things and it took some time for her to get used to it. He would move her gutter drains that were on the ground but not move them back. That was one of his ways. She would just laugh and shake her head! We moved to Vermont in 2012 and said goodbye to her.

Both Mike and I were lucky to have had Tillie in our life for that short time and call her a friend.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

Rest in Peace, Tillie

Tillie was one of my dearest friends and I will miss her tremendously. We taught in the same building for many years and after I switched school systems we stayed in touch with frequent lunches and chat sessions. I learned how to eat an artichoke from Tillie and also how to macrame, although I'm not sure I could do it today! Not everyone knows the sweetness that was the "inner Tillie" .
