Nina (Golubina) Drabkin, age 88, of Swampscott, Massachusetts passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Nina was born in Yaroslavl, Russia. Both of her parents died by the time she turned 9. She was left with her younger sister Lida under the care of her aunt Maria.
After she graduated from high school, Nina enrolled and later received her Bachelor degree from Moscow Financial Institute. She spent several years working at various financial institutions, including Ministry of Finance. From 1976 through 1991, she was the Chief Accountant of Soviet Red Cross. Nina married Victor Drabkin in 1972. Their only child, Maksim, was born the same year. This year they celebrated 50 years of marriage. They lived and worked in Moscow, where they raised their son. In 1998 they emigrated to the USA to reunite with their son's family.
She is survived by her husband Victor, her son Maksim, daughter-in-law Elena and her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Daniel.
