Paul F. Deane
October 28, 1945 – May 2, 2018
Paul Foster Deane, 72, of Marblehead, MA, passed away on May 2, 2018 due to complications of diabetes. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Walter Deane and Ethel Foster Deane.
He graduated from Norwell High School in 1963 and was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, class of 1965. He earned a degree in drafting and worked at General Electric in Lynn, MA, for 45 years as a manager and draftsman.
He met Lacey Cook in Boston, MA. They married and moved to Marblehead, MA in 1970 where they enjoyed raising a family and spending summers on their boat .He was a proud member of the Corinthian Yacht Club, Dolphin Yacht Club, Danvers Fish & Game Club, Okos VFA, and the North Shore Corvette Club. Paul enjoyed fixing cars, shooting guns, riding motorcycles, boating, and woodworking. After from retiring from GE he dedicated his time to taking care of Lacey after she suffered a stroke.
He is survived by his children; daughter Tiffany L. Deane and her partner David Sullo of Wakefield, MA, son Evan F. Deane and daughter in law Joslyn of Brighton, MA, sister Jacqueline Deane of Weymouth, MA, brother Peter Deane of Westford, MA, and brother David Deane of Nashua, NH, along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by wife Lacey Deane of Marblehead, MA, and sister Nancy McGlinchey of Weare, NH.
Memorial services will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215, in honor of Paul Deane.
