Roland Cotton Hall Sr.

Roland Cotton Hall, Sr., 77, of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013, after a brief illness. Roland was born in New York City on October 20, 1935. He graduated from St. Mark’s School in 1953 and received a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in 1957. He lived in Marblehead and worked in investment banking for many years in Boston. He also lived in Bermuda for a number of years. He was an avid Red Sox fan. Roland is survived by his former wife, Nancy Johansen, and five of his children: Elizabeth, Catherine, Kristin, Roland and Christopher. He was extremely proud of his 14 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Carole Ann Murphy, and his beloved daughter, Linda Ann Aiello. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Mark’s School, 25 Marlboro Road, Southborough, MA 01772.

I am sad to learn that he passed away. He was always the life of the party and the most outspoken. He lived life to the fullest and I will remember him always. All my love to the family and so sorry for your loss. With deepest condolences and peace to you all.
