Ruth M. (Underhill) Baer, 71, of Marblehead, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. Born in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Fitzgerald) Underhill. She worked for the General Electric Company in Lynn for many years.
She is survived by three sons, Scott E. Baer, Michael D. Baer and his wife Rita all reside in Tempe, AZ, and Kevin C. Baer and his wife Tammi of Marblehead; two sisters, Patti Dion of Swampscott, and Mary Stanton and her husband Ned of Beverly; two granddaughters, Cassandra and Charlie; one great-grandson, Sebastian; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead on Tuesday, July 21 at 10AM. Burial to follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial visitation will be held in the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Monday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
