Ward J. Boyce Jr.

Ward J. Boyce, Jr., age 50, of Marblehead, formerly of Lancaster, PA, died peacefully at home on Oct. 30, 2011. He was the beloved son of Carol LeCato, and the devoted father of Nathaniel L. Boyce and John C. Boyce.

Ward graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School and went on to earn a civil engineering degree from Northeastern in 1984. Following this, he graduated from Harvard Business School in 1989 and led an active career that spanned many fields including engineering, business consultant, entrepreneur, boat designer and ship’s captain.

Besides his mother and sons, he is survived by his sister, Susan Boyce; brother, Phillip Boyce; and 5 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Ward’s life including the Masonic Service will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Saturday, November 5 at 12PM. Burial will follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM. Donations may be made in Ward’s memory to the Magician’s Gridiron Club to support Marblehead Youth Football.
