She was born September 12, 1916 in Spring Prairie, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry and Bernice (Gorski) Legler. On June 5, 1937 she married Joseph “Albert” Hall.
Anna worked at The Rose Farm, Aubrey’s, and Arnold Engineering for many years. Devotion to her Catholic faith was also an important part of her life. She was an amazing mom and grandma. Anna loved babies and would babysit for all of her grandchildren. When they would visit she would make them Brown Cows but on occasion when she didn’t have root beer in the house the grandkids would then enjoy Purple Cows, Orange Cows, or cows made with whatever pop she may have on hand. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking and made the best fish fries, donuts, and Polish dishes around.
She is survived by her children, Leo (Sherry) Hall, Dale Hall, Gloria (Gene) Krause, and Joe Hall; her siblings, Rose (the late Bob) Sieger, Julia (the late Oliver) Garrison, and Henry (the late Margaret) Legler; her 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Monroe Smith Jr.; her daughters-in-law, Beverly Hall, Ellen Hall, and MaryAnn Hall; her sisters, Stella (Herman) Krause, Mary (Wilbert) Gaylord, Josephine (Herbert) Bauman, and Sylvia (Gail) Russie; and her brothers, Walter Legler, Carl (Lillian) Legler, Leo Legler, and an infant brother.
