Carol A. (Joseph) Fernandez, 77, of Marengo, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 28, 2026. She was born May 2, 1949 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Agnes (Rydin) Joseph. Carol graduated from East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL. She was employed at Duraco Products, Sears, Intren and Remke's. Carol enjoyed listening to music and reading. She loved animals, especially dogs. Carol was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
Carol is loved and missed by her children, Kathy Koehler, Kevin (Leslyn) Koehler, Antonio (Kristen) Sanchez and Chad Sanchez; grandchildren, Madison Koehler and Haisley Sanchez; two nephews, Ronald Joseph and Brian Joseph. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ronald Joseph.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E Grant Hwy, Marengo, IL 60152 with a funeral service to begin at 1:30 p.m.
