She was born September 29, 1937 in Chicago to Richard and Catherine (Sterret) Stern. On August 29, 1957 she married Kenneth H. Freg.
Carolyn spent much time in her garden and loved every minute of it. She was also a fighter, having battled many challenges over the last few years.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her daughters, Catherine, Carin, and Coleen; her grandchildren, Lynda, Brandalyn, Ryan, Emily, Charlyn, Janna, and Zackary; and her great-grandchildren, Violet, Aiden, DJ, Sophia, Lillian, Liam, and Nate.
According to her wishes there will be no services.
