
He worked in various positions including apprenticeship at General Electric in Erie, pin setter at a bowling alley, soda jerk, usher in a movie theater, an industrial engineer at Sunstrand in Belvidere and ITW at Shakeproof in Elgin. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Harvard and a sworn member of the morning coffee club.
He was an avid sports watcher especially Penn State and Strong Vincent High School. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, fountain pen collecting, traveling, camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children: Kevin (Graciela) Lindberg, William (Debbie) Lindberg, Karen (Eleazar) Mendoza; grandchildren: Elke (Steve) Luckey, Charles Lindberg, Paul (Marisa) Lindberg, Adrian Mendoza, Brianna and Allison Lindberg; great-grandchildren: Joey and Tori Luckey; brother David Lindberg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jean Lindberg and later his wife Joanna Lindberg, and a sister Joyce Ebisch.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 pm until the 7:30 pm memorial service on Tues, March 18 at First Presbyterian Church, 7100 Harvard Hills Rd. Harvard, IL.
