She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Mickus, was beautifully cared for her at home until her last breath.
Della is also survived by her three sisters, Diedra, Donna, and Bonnie whom she shared a close bond with throughout all chapters of her life.
Della is the proud and loving mother to Kendra (Chris) Nichols and Kenneth O'Dell Jr.
She is also a cherished grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren, Katelyn and Christian, Kenneth (Jenna) and Joseph.
Della was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Brand Hudgins.
Della touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her generous and selfless spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will live on in all of us.
There will be a gathering to celebrate Della's life from 3pm to 6pm on Friday, January 9 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E Grant Hwy, Marengo.
