Doris E. McNeese, 100, of Marengo, Illinois passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Doris was born December 8, 1921 to the late Perry and Helen Wright. She married Roy (Mike) McNeese in 1940 and they had 2 children, Karen (Jack) Myers and Terry (Gretchen) McNeese.
Doris worked for Arnold Engineering for 32 years. In her spare time she was a member of the Marengo Women's Club and was involved in her church's May breakfast flipping pancakes. She liked to travel, play cards, dominos, and crosswords. She enjoyed spending time up at her lake house with family and friends, that she and her husband built in Wisconsin.
Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; daughter-in-law; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son; grandson and 3 sisters.
A memorial gathering will be held on June 4, 2022 from 10am until 11am at First Baptist Church, 320 E Washington St, Marengo, IL 60152. Memorial service will follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate/ or MORE Food Pantry at "MORE Center" P.O. Box 32, Marengo, IL 60152.
